Storm Éowyn: Major disruption expected as red warning issued

Hundreds of schools are to be shut tomorrow and transport services halted as rare red warnings for gusts up to a 100-miles an hour have been issued for Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland.

Around four-and-half million people were due to be sent a warning about Storm Éowyn to their mobile phones this evening about there being a danger to life.
